The pandemic isn’t over, and we know that our communities are struggling. We hear stories about frontline and essential workers risking their lives everyday for the rest of us, small businesses barely staying afloat and in free fall, historical numbers of unemployment, and families losing loved ones to the virus.
We hear you and have been fighting at the national level to get resources to our community fast. That’s why we actively compile a list of resources all translated into Lao. This will ensure that our community members stay educated and aware during these unprecedented times.

NCAPA COVID-19 TASKFORCE
We have been participating in the National Council of Asian Pacific Americans (NCAPA) COVID-19 Taskforce and leading the language access subcommittee. As a member of this Taskforce, we advocate for COVID-19 legislation that benefits AAPI communities, and create and disseminate in-language resources to the community
COVID-19 Language Access Act
We have been advocating for Representative Grace Meng’s COVID-19 Language Access Act (H.R. 1009). The COVID-19 Language Access Act would require federal agencies to translate COVID-19 materials within seven (7) days into 19 languages, including Laotian. Our petition has over 1,000 signatures.

Vector and mRNA Vaccines
Many of the COVID-19 vaccine myths have to do with the kind of vaccines out there.
Truth is: modern medicine is up to some amazing things, like saving lives with vaccines!
Knowing just how these vaccines work can dispel myths and show our community members that vaccines are 100 percent safe.
